WINTERCRESS (Barbarea vulgaris) "Bittercress"

Wintercress is high in vitamin C and minerals. It is used as a bitter medicinal tea to stimulate appetite, purify and strengthen blood, for coughs, and as a diuretic. Used externally as a poultice to help heal wounds. Wintercress is rich in vitamin C and A, and was a typical anti-scurvy plant in the days before vitamin C became readily available.
